Co-written by a pre-HALLOWEEN John Carpenter and helmed by TV veteran Lee H. Katzin, this sun-and-surf romp is a throwback to the squeaky clean beach movies of the early 1960s.
It's the last day of summer and fading rocker Bonnie Katt (Suzanne Somers, star of the then-hot Three's Company goes to the beach to forget about her career woes and gets mixed up in the problems of a gang of teens, including Rosanna Arquette, Kimberly Beck and P.J. Soles. Silly and forgettable, but not without its charms and fondly remembered by the 1970s generation.
