A magnificently staged reenactment of one of the British empire's bloodiest victories in Africa: the 1879 defense of the tiny South African outpost of Rorke's Drift. Stanley Baker stars as a British army commander who, despite the protests of second-in-command Michael Caine, digs in and withstands attack after attack by thousands of Zulu warriors.
