Set during WW II, this film tries to combine war and science fiction as a platoon commanded by Thomerson is lost in Italy behind enemy lines. It seems an alien space craft has crashed in the vicinity and the Nazis have captured the survivor, hoping to enlist its aid in the war. It's up to Thomerson and one of his men, Van Patten, to foil the plan. The two genres are never successfully mixed as the war story overwhelms the science fiction elements.
