Hardy without Laurel is like popcorn without salt, not quite satisfying. Here the rotund comic is teamed with former silent clown Langdon (a much overlooked artist in his own right). The latter is a carnival man who owns the title character, a loving pachyderm. When the elephant comes down with an illness it's doctor Hardy who brings her back to health.
