It's backstage fare with Dailey and Baxter playing the married couple who struggle with separate careers in pictures at the dawn of talkies. Baxter makes the big time, but Dailey settles for being a song-and-dance man. He prefers the peace of their newly acquired ranch. The picture features some memorable musical numbers with excellent choreography by Castle. Musical numbers include: "You're My Everything" (Harry Warren, Mort Dixon, Joe Young, sung by Dailey), "Varsity Drag" (B.G. DeSylva, Lew Brown, Ray Henderson), "I May Be Wrong" (Harry Ruskin, Henry Sullivan, sung by Dailey), "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "Serenade in Blue" (Mack Gordon, Warren), "I Can't Begin to Tell You" (James V. Monaco, Gordon), "Would You Like to Take a Walk?" (Warren, Dixon, Billy Rose), and "On the Good Ship Lollipop" (Sidney Clare, Richard Whiting, sung by Shari Robinson). leave a comment
