Young Widow

Break out the pocket tissues as Russell plays a war widow turned journalist. She meets Hayward, a cocky young pilot, who proceeds to romance her. But will the memory of her late husband overwhelm any chance he might have? The film is told in a choppy style, poorly weaving together the various plot elements. Russell is wrong for the part, but she gives a fair performance. The support, including Singleton of the "Blondie" series, is ordinary.
