Mineo is a maturing young man trying to discover who he is while about to matriculate from a Georgia orphanage. When convicted murderer Whitmore escapes from a local prison, the unwitting teenager is used by the convict to aid in his getaway. The Savannah locations were nicely captured in some fine photography. Columbia advertised Mineo as "the screen's most dynamic teen-age star." leave a comment
