A slow-moving crime drama about a racehorse owner who believes that luck is all-important. He becomes extremely charitable, performing good deeds and buying things for anyone he comes in contact with. His logic is that he is buying himself well-wishers and with all those people rooting
for him his horse can't possibly lose. A racetrack murder occurs and he is brought to trial, though before he is put away he brings in the real culprit. Harmed by preachiness about sincerity and honest-to-goodness charity, this is a wild concoction of blarney.
