A skillfully scripted comedy about a young woman, Lane, who is determined to spend a weekend with boy friend Lynn before he leaves for a new job in Europe. Lane's mother, Bainter, an outspoken feminist (who, unknown to her daughter, had her own "free-love" adventure with poet Young years before), doesn't approve of the proposed excursion.
