The First Year

Gaynor and Farrell, major box-office draws at the time, are newlyweds who move to a small country town. Gaynor becomes dissatisfied by the easygoing ways of her husband, and begins to fall for an old boy friend. Farrell has bought some property and sets up a sale to the railroad. He invites the buyers to a dinner, which turns into a disaster, sending Gaynor scurrying back to her parents. After patching things up with the railroad men and completing the sale, Farrell goes to his wife and saves their marriage.
