Caine, an architect, is married to Taylor, a brash, obnoxious woman. At a party he is introduced to York and is immediately taken by this widowed mother of two. York is the proprietor of a boutique and has a personality that is the polar opposite of Taylor's. She and Caine soon become involved, which sets Taylor off on a jealous rampage.
