Police sergeant Homans is killed by ex-bootleggers now engaged in black-market dealings with rubber, a scarce item in the WW II era. The dead man's son, O'Flynn, is a private eye who takes up the investigation. Along the way, he hooks up with Parrish, his token love interest, and zeros in on the man behind the murder. Things move quickly enough to make this mildy entertaining. leave a comment
