This film opens with a dialog by Mohr explaining, "Not only will this picture communicate with you visually, but subconsciously through your brain." From there it's hardly a subconscious journey, as Mohr makes his wife confront her internal demons. He takes O'Donnell back to the mansion where as a child she witnessed a brutal axe murder.
