Bizarre but engaging comedy about two Aussie brothers out to spring their aged dad from a rest home and take him around the world. The cast all seem to be having a good time, with Quast and Dobrowolska particularly delightful. The obviously heavy budgetary constraints only seem to enhance the story, in which the sons don't have much money for staging their illusions either. Director Maclean makes his feature debut here, and an auspiciously loopy one it is. leave a comment
