John Wayne (here billed as Duke Morrison) took sixth billing in this standard musical exercise. He is a composer in competition with Percy to take a $1,500 college prize for the best show tune. Moran agrees to sing for both of them but chooses Percy as her beau; Percy's also is the winning tune.
