It's A Wonderful World

This one is played for slapstick, but Colbert and Stewart make it a bright and often hilarious screwball comedy under Van Dyke's smooth direction. Truex is an irresponsible millionaire, and Stewart is a neophyte private eye hired to keep an eye on him. Tycoon Truex gets involved in a murder, and the bumbling Stewart is also framed for the same crime. He is sent to prison with Truex but escapes the train taking them there and resolves to dig up the evidence that will exonerate himself and his client.
