Power's last attempt at comedy is a remake of a movie he made 12 years before, LOVE IS NEWS. The story also served as the book for the musical SWEET ROSIE O'GRADY in 1943. Power is again the newspaper reporter who has written a series of smarmy articles about the Doris Duke-type heiress played by Gene Tierney (Loretta Young's role in the original), who has led a life filled with incidents.
