The Wonderful Country

Mitchum stars in this atmospheric western as a gunrunner hired by the local bigshot, Armendariz, and his brother Mendoza. Mitchum crosses the border into Texas to carry out the mission but breaks his leg and is forced to remain among the gringos, receiving care from London, the unsatisfied wife of Merrill. Mitchum soon learns that Merrill is working for Armendariz, attempting to rid the area of Apaches for the sake of the railroad. Mitchum loses the guns he was sent for and is forced to flee south of the border on a murder charge.
