The two women of the title are Ducaux, the wife of Blanchar, and Brunoy, the wife of the wicked Dumesnil. Brunoy flees to Ducaux's home after a battle with her husband, only to have it revealed that she had a child by Blanchar. This news sends Dumesnil into a rage which results in the
death of his wife's former lover. Able direction, fine performances, and beautiful location photography are all pluses. (In French; English subtitles.)
