After wife Dunne figures out how to make her carefree steelworker husband Bickford a millionaire, their course is a tragic one. Bickford is overcome by his newfound wealth and ends up consoling himself in the arms of Andre. This leads to a scandalous divorce trial, and doomed Bickford ends up imprisoned. Based in part on the play and film JUST A WOMAN, this is turgid stuff with no real emotion or honesty. leave a comment
