I Take This Woman

The back-set machinations of this movie were far more exciting than the movie itself. Louis B. Mayer was determined to make Lamarr a huge star and he interfered so much with the shooting that two directors left, thousands of feet were thrown out, and the joke around town was that it should have been called "I Re-Take This Woman" because of all the extra shooting that transpired. Tracy was irate when he saw that his talents were being used to beef up Lamarr's career, but sat still for it and fumed.
