Witchboard

This ambitious horror film rejects graphic violence and instead spins a spooky tale of the supernatural. In it Linda Brewster (Tawny Kitaen) becomes obsessed with a Ouija board that has a direct line to the spirit of David, a friendly 10-year-old who died 30 years previously. Linda ignores the rule never to use the board alone and gets tricked by the evil spirit of a savage axe-murderer, who pretends to be David. Instead of simply depicting a series of deaths of cardboard cutouts, WITCHBOARD takes the high road and actually tries to develop relatively complex relationships between the main characters.
