A prizefight picture with an interesting twist finds cowboy Steve Bishop (Tony Martin) working as a waiter in a spaghetti joint. He agrees to fight in a charity bout, scores a lucky knockout, and goes on to fame and fortune through a series of fights fixed--unknown to Steve--by gamblers. Steve's success goes to his head, which does not sit well with sportswriter Julie Harrison (Gloria Stuart), who likes him and believes he needs a comeuppance to set him straight. leave a comment
