The biography of ill-starred husband-and-wife fliers Jim Mollison and Amy Johnson, both renowned pilots before and during WW II. The film concentrates both on their aerial feats and their domestic problems--a marriage that despite its celebrity status failed to provide happiness and ended in divorce.
