In the mid-27th century, the Terran Confederation is at war with the felinoid Kilrathi Empire. The Kilrathi seize a NAVCOM unit with hyperspace jump coordinates to Earth. This leaves the starfighter carrier TCS Tiger Claw as the only thing between the Kilrathi strike force and earth for two hours before reinforcements can arrive.
