1947, Movie, NR, 89 mins

Dancer O'Connor steals the film from star Durbin this tale of mistaken identity. Weak story has Durbin as a disc jockey involved in an antagonistic romance with Dall. O'Connor is more or less the third wheel in the whole affair until the end. Dall thinks Durbin is a former mistress of his wealthy uncle, so he kidnaps her and she falls in love with him. O'Connor finally dances in to the rescue. Some of the songs performed are: "Something in the Wind," "Turntable Song," "It's Only Love," "You Wanna Keep Your Baby Lookin' Right," and "Happy Go Lucky and Free." Most were sung by Durbin but in the long run, O'Connor's energetic performance took all the credit. leave a comment
