While this stop-motion movie may not surpass today’s state-of-the-art animation techniques, it's a charming version of the bucolic fable. Homebody Mr. Mole (Richard Pearson) leaves his subterranean dwelling to picnic with his buddy Mr. Rat (Ian Carmichael). A naive but curious soul, Mole sees the good in weasels and doesn't understand why traveling to their Wild Wood environs might be hazardous.
