The ponderous Australian epic BURKE & WILLS was years in production, which gave the creators of this lame parody plenty of time to churn out their own film and get it into Australian theaters a week ahead of its more serious counterpart. McDonald and Gyngell are the intrepid explorers,
out to cross the Australian continent and return, but on the way back they both die. The story is familiar to every Aussie schoolboy, and schoolboys are probably the only audience for this tedious comedy. The few good jokes are beaten into the ground, and the movie appears unlikely to ever appear
