Heston turns in a superb performance as an aging cowboy accepting and loving his life in the West. Set in Montana in the 1880s, WILL PENNY shows us the rugged details and the day-to-day hardships that cowboys encountered, concentrating less on the glory than on the guts. With winter approaching, Heston and fellow cowpokes Majors and Zerbe try to find employment. In the process, they are ambushed by Pleasence, a demented preacher with three sons, one of whom is killed by Heston. Pleasence vows to get revenge.
