Kaye heads for Los Angeles in search of her real parents, leaving behind her foster parents in New York. She is accompanied in her cross-country romp by Parks, a drifter and opportunist who travels with her only to see what he can get out of the deal. By the time Kaye learns the truth
about her past, however, she and Parks have fallen in love and decided to stay togethe (Parks' motivation here seems to be that he has nothing better to do). The phony upbeat ending characterizes the weakness of the entire film. Marlon Brando, Sr. acted as executive producer for this witlessly
acted farrago.
