Cabot takes the title role of the legendary western character and helps homesteaders foil the greedy tactics of the villainous William and Bond. He has an easy time of it, leaving himself enough energy to romance Bennett, a tough dance-hall queen. Bennett, oddly miscast, does get to recite
some great dialog, especially in a confrontation with the malicious William when she promises to "beat [his] brains out with the leg of a chair." Keep this woman away from the furniture.
