A well-crafted programmer which is set in the High Sierras at the close of the Civil War. Farrell is a former soldier who guns down the man who seduced his sister. He takes off with the comely Bennett and, before long, they are falling in love. Bennett isn't exceptionally wild, as the
title suggests, but she does have a certain attractive tomboyish flair. The film includes some interesting techniques for scene transitions. Instead of the usual fade-out, fade-in or cut, WILD GIRL uses a processed shot which simulates the turning of a page. A nice touch for an otherwise ordinary
