This noirish, made-for-TV soap opera was scripted by English mystery specialist Lynda LaPlante, who's best known for the multiple Prime Suspect television mini-series. In 1990, art gallery owner Stein (Colm Feore) paid four thieves to steal a Vermeer from a museum him. Stein avoided arrest, but the theft attracted too much attention for his partners to sell the other paintings they took at the same time. In 2002, mastermind Harry Rawlins (Nigel Bennett) decides to set things right and rehires his partners to rip off Stein, who's been enjoying the Vermeer in the privacy of his gallery’s basement. Stein, who's nobody's fool, hires a crooked cop to derail the rob...
