This hopeless remake of the 1945 film stars Faye Dunaway as Lady Barbara Skelton, a woman turned highway robber, and Alan Bates as Captain Jerry Jackson, her highwayman lover. There's plenty of sophomoric, racy humor to cover the skimpy plot, and the ensemble is clearly better than the weak material. The photography is lush, making good use of the English countryside.
