Lane is about to be married and prepares to meet his wealthy father-in-law to be. But all appears to be disaster, for his mother has finally remarried, her new spouse being an undertaker. Next, Lane's father, long believed to have been lost at sea, turns up with his new wife, a black
woman. Once upon a time this might have been considered funny but the racial overtones to the humor are not funny now. The film as a whole is simply boring.
