Who's Been Sleeping In My Bed?

1963, Movie, NR, 103 mins

Martin, an actor who portrays a doctor on a top-rated TV show, is a real ladies' man whose bed-hopping causes him to postpone his marriage to Montgomery. Montgomery and her best friend, Burnett (in her screen debut), conspire to fake Montgomery's engagement to another man, hoping this will bring Martin running. That plot leads predictably to a number of tricky situations. Psychoanalysis was a popular sex comedy topic in the early 1960s, but it's carried off with little wit or style here, the film relying instead on sex humor for laughs. At one point Burnett must do a striptease to pay for a check in a restaurant. The result is nothing more than a workmanlike comedy. leave a comment
