Alan (Sean Astin), a city kid with an aversion to the strenuous life, is forced by his parents to go on a three-week camping trip. Joining him on the trip is Vic (Kevin Bacon), a gung-ho type who takes it as his personal duty to teach Alan self-confidence. As the trip commences, Alan
