Jones, to all appearances a Native American, becomes a Pony Express rider in the period just after the Civil War. Thieving white men, led by Ellis, have been stealing the organization's finest steeds and blaming their encroachments on neighboring Indians. The noble Jones uncovers Ellis'
treachery and brings the gang to justice. In the process, he discovers that he himself is really a white man; he had been abducted and raised by Indians. This permits him to meet the anti-miscegenation code of the Hays Office and marry the beautiful blonde Weeks (who had been a brunette in her
previous screen appearances).
