When his singing sweetheart (Southern) leaves fisherman McGregor and his Maine hometown, he soon finds and marries Miller. She, however, is unconvinced of his love, and when Southern returns for a visit, Miller fears that the old flame will reignite. Instead, Southern is aloof and
condescending and McGregor becomes sure that he loves Miller. Only later does Miller discover that Southern was pretending not to care for McGregor so he would forget her and be happy. Not terribly interesting part-talkie.
