Whispering Footsteps

Bank clerk Hubbard spends a humble vacation in Indianapolis and returns home to the excitement of his Ohio boarding house. He hears a radio report about a girl found murdered in Indianapolis and a description of the killer. He, of course, fits the bill and is quickly looked upon with suspicion. The deaths of a couple of more girls implicate him even further, weakening his alibi with each death. Everyone turns against him, firmly convinced that he is the murderer--perhaps the victim of some Jekyll and Hyde complex.
