Whispering City

In this intriguing yarn, newspaper reporter Anderson tries to get the goods on a prosperous lawyer (Lukas) for a murder committed several years previously, racing to do so before she, too, becomes an item in the obituaries. After learning of Lukas' guilt from a woman on her deathbed, Anderson becomes the target of composer Dantine, who has been tricked into helping Lukas kill the reporter. However, Lukas' plot backfires when the young composer falls in love with Anderson.
