Interesting depiction of a father-daughter relationship, woven into a variety of interesting settings. Holt plays a carnival owner saddled with a murder charge that leaves him with a 20-year sentence. His newlywed wife, who is pregnant, is led to believe that her husband has committed suicide, so she goes on to marry another man to provide a decent home for her child.
