WHERE'S CHARLEY? is made extraordinary by its incredible star, Ray Bolger, a 48-year-old actor playing a college student at Oxford. Charley Wykeham (Bolger) and Jack Chesney (Robert Shackleton) are roommates in love with Amy Spettigue (Allyn McLerie) and Kitty Verdun (Mary Germaine) and would like to have a date with them, but dating without a chaperon isn't allowed. When Charley's wealthy, widowed aunt is delayed in her arrival to chaperon them, Charley dresses up as his aunt in order to prevent an embarrassing situation.
