This whimsical musical fantasy with songs by Kurt Weill and Ira Gershwin is fairly pleasant, if silly, fare. Bill (Fred MacMurray) would like to sign up and fight in WW II, but minor physical problems keep him out, so he does the next best thing and goes to work for the USO.
