Where Is This Lady?

Nares stars in this typical musical as the chairman of a failing bank who gets pushed into a relationship with the supposedly wealthy Barrie. They both fall in love with other people, putting the bank's financial woes on a back burner. The bank goes under but it is turned into a swinging nightclub. WHERE IS THE GIRL? is the British version of the German film ES WAR EINMAL EIN WALZER (1932), which was written by Billy Wilder, who would, of course, become quite a name in Hollywood.
