An unlikely bunch of musicians are brought together through their common poverty, resulting in the creation of a hit tune which lands them a contract. Lang is the composer whose works are tampered with by Quillan to be more acceptable to swing listeners. But Lang doesn't much mind this
prostitution since he winds up with the singing beauty Parrish. Songs include: "Where Did You Get That Girl?" (Harry Puck, Bert Kalmar, sung by Helen Parrish), "Sergeant Swing," "Rug-Cuttin' Romeo" (Milton Rosen, Everett Carter).
