When In Rome

The cathedrals of Rome serve as the backdrop for this pleasant, moving tale in which convict Douglas tries evading the law but winds up taking a pious path through his association with priest Johnson. The two men meet while traveling on a boat from the US to Italy; Douglas has made a prison break, and Johnson is on a pilgrimage to the Holy City. The former steals the priest's cloak and identification in hopes of evading the law. Johnson eventually catches up with the thief, deciding not to turn him in immediately so Douglas can continue with a tour of Rome. The two men dodge police pursuers, and Douglas undergoes a change of heart as a result of the sacred environm...
