Nearly naked prehistoric ladies wearing push-up bras and animated anachronisms are the major features of this follow-up to Hammer's last venture into prehistory, ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. (1966). The Venus-like Vetri's golden tresses are blamed by her Rock Tribe elders for an eruption of the sun which causes the moon to break away from it. Condemned to be sacrificed to appease the creator of this unlikely natural phenomenon, Vetri leaps from a cliff into the sea. Rescued by muscular fisherman Hawdon and his Sand Tribe cohorts, she is again threatened when the pursuing Rock chief forms an alliance with the Sand Tribe.
