Downs plays an office clerk who has an unexpected visitor to his apartment. McKay is the lady feigning illness to extend her stay until she feels it's safe to show her face on the street again. (She's trying to avoid the police.) Downs doesn't seem to mind much and takes the girl to the
altar once the coast is clear. Well-conceived and well-acted piece of entertainment.
