Two Weeks In September

1967, Movie, NR, 95 mins

A hopeless Bardot vehicle that appropriately has its star cast as a fashion model. She takes a trip to London, leaving her lover behind in Paris. Just about every man who sees her falls for her, but it's Terzieff, a persistent geologist, who sweeps her off her feet. They go to Scotland and make love in a castle, deciding to part by the story's finale. The film's failure is no one's fault but Bardot's, who personally chose the story and the director, neither worth much. Rumors of romance surrounded the set as usual, with Bardot having jilted one lover for a new husband just weeks before the shoot and reportedly carrying on with Sarne, who is cast as a cliched photographer. leave a comment
